Meet your Orchestra Teacher
Mrs. Vivian Ventura
Orchestra Director
Mrs. Ventura has been teaching orchestra for nearly 20 years. She has been teacher of the year at Arvida Middle School in 2020 and the American String Teacher for the State of Florida in 2012. Her primary instrument is the violin, but can play the viola, cello and bass fluently.

We at Southwood believe that learning music should be a fun and rewarding experience, and we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our students. Students get to work with distinguished musicians from the greater Miami area. Some come to give Master Classes and some to give String Technique Coachings to make sure every child gets an optimal String Education.
